Between 21-22 March 2009, the Panepirotic Federation of Australia, through its constituent organisation, the Cultural League of Epirus, held its acclaimed re-enactment of bygone Epirotic traditions and artefact display at the Antipodes Festival in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.
Dancing and playing traditional Epirotic music at the Cultural League of Epirus Stall.Μεταξύ 21-22 Μαρτίου 2009, στα πλαίσια του Φεστιβάλ Αντιπόδων στην Μελβούρνη, η Πανηπειρωτική Ομοσπονδία Αυστραλίας, δια μέσου της συνιστώσας της οργάνωσης: Πολιτισμικός Όμιλος Ηπείρου, διεξήγαγε την πλεόν καθιερωμένη πολιτιστική έκθεση Ηπειρωτικών εθιμάτων, καθώς και την αναπαράσταση του παραδοσιακού Ηπειρωτικού σπιτιού.
The display focused on aspects of traditional culture that have now receeded into the past. Of especial note was the loom, upon which members of the Cultural League of Epirus wove cloth.
Members of the Panepirotic Federation of Australia teamed up with Manassis Dance Group in order to treat passersby with a taste of traditional Epirotic music and dance.
Η έκθεση του Πολιτιστικού Ομίλου Ηπείρου πλαισιώθηκε από ζωτανές εκτελέσεις Ηπειρωτικής δημοτικής μουσικής από μέλη του Ομίλου και παροικιακούς καλλιτέχνες, οι οποίοι παρέσυραν ακόμη και τους περαστικούς στο χορό!
A distinguished guest of the Cultural league of Epirus' display was Mr Lambros Tapinos, mayor of the City of Moreland.Επισκέπτης της έκθεσης του Πολιτιστικού Ομίλου Ηπείρου ήταν και ο κ. Λάμπρος Ταπεινός, δήμαρχος της περιφέρειας Μόρελαντ.
The Premier of Victoria, the Hon. Mr John Brumby was intrigued by the Epriotic traditional costume.
Ο πρωθυπουργός της Βικτώριας κ. John Brumby, εντυπωσιάστηκε από την Ηπειρώτικη παραδοσιακή στολή.
