On 26 November 2007, the Secretary of the Panepirotic Federation of Australia, Mr Kostas Kalymnios, received an award for Multicultural Excellence from the Victorian Multicultural Commission. This honour, awarded by the Governor of Victoria, His Excellency Professor David de Kretser, indicates the pivotal role played by the Panepirotic Federation of Australia in maintaining the multicultural fabric of Australian society.
